Boston Artist ELI PORTMAN Watercolor Painting Exhibition at the PCA - November 1 through November 28
The Parish Center for the Arts is pleased to welcome Boston watercolor artist Eli Portman as the November Artist of the Month.
Eli was born and raised in the Greater Boston area and graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a Bachelors Degree in studio art.
He has created murals and custom artwork for local businesses and events, and displayed his work in universities, libraries, cafes and art galleries all over the City of Boston as well as publishing a book of his paintings. He is a member of the Copley Society of Art, and regularly has his illustrations published in various media. He specializes in illustrations of city scenes and watercolor landscapes. With controlled ink lines, he captures shadows and lights. Familiar angles, familiar feelings brought on by time of day or night, placement and presence in one’s environment. His art manipulates the openness and tightness of visual spaces and interiors to reflect the claustrophobia of society's open space and the endless emptiness of being crowded and crushed..
His work can be found online at Eli Portman: Artist, Boston Art and
Paintings (weebly.com) or on Facebook at @eli.portman
